Three professional references are required unless you have a reference from a Regular member of the society to which you are applying. In that case, two professional references are required. Supervisor references are preferred. Applicants may not serve as a reference for their own applications. (If you need reference from a Regular mamber of the society, contact to us: info@cfasocietykorea.org)

경력 증명서는 온라인으로 제출하게 되어있습니다. 제출하신 추천인분들께 경력 증명서를 작성하는 상세한 설명의 이메일이 보내질 것이고, 증명서 제출이 완료된 상태에서만 CFA 차터 신청서 제출이 가능합니다.

An applicant’s professional reference is submitted online. References will receive emailed instructions for completing the process. Your application cannot be submitted until the required reference statements have been returned.

CFA Charterholder가 아닌 경우에는 *Professional Membership 또는 *Associate Membership 중 본인의 자격에 맞는 Membership을 선택할 수 있습니다. (*현재 CFA Institute에서 운영 중이며, CFA Society Korea는 정관 개정 이후 도입될 예정)

• 인도에서는 Associate Membership이 2026년 말부터 제공될 예정입니다.
• 중국 본토에서는 Associate Membership이 제공되지 않습니다. 현지 규정에 따라 중국 본토의 CFA Institute Membership은 앞으로도 CFA Charterholder만 가입할 수 있습니다.

If you are not a CFA Charterholder, you may choose the Membership type that best matches your eligibility: either Professional Membership or Associate Membership.
(These membership categories are currently offered by CFA Institute and are expected to be introduced by CFA Society Korea following the amendment of its bylaws.)

• In India, Associate Membership is expected to be available starting in late 2026.
• In Mainland China, Associate Membership is not available. Under local regulations, only CFA Charterholders will continue to be eligible for CFA Institute Membership.

네. 가입 자격을 충족하게 되면 Associate Membership에서 Professional Membership 또는 Charterholder Membership으로 변경할 수 있습니다. 다만 Membership 연회비는 다른 Membership으로 이전(Transfer)되지 않습니다.

Membership유형 변경시, 기존에 납부한 연회비는 비례 환불(Pro-rata)되지 않으며 새로운 Membership 연회비에 크레딧으로 적용되지 않습니다. 이 정책은 동일한 Membership Year 내에서 Membership 유형을 변경하는 경우에도 동일하게 적용됩니다.

따라서 Membership 유형 변경을 계획하고 있다면, 현재 Membership의 남은 기간을 고려하여 변경 시점을 결정하는 것을 권장합니다.

CFA Institute Membership은 글로벌 차원의 다양한 혜택과 네트워크를 제공하는 반면, CFA Society Membership은 회원이 거주하거나 활동하는 지역Society의 투자 전문가 커뮤니티와 더욱 긴밀하게 교류할 수 있도록 지원합니다.

각 CFA Society는 글로벌 네트워크의 일원이지만 독립적으로 운영되므로,

을 각각 별도로 납부해야 합니다.

또한 각 CFA Society는 지역별 상황에 따라 서로 다른 Membership 유형을 운영할 수 있습니다.

CFA 정회원 (Regular Members)은 CFA Institute에서 멤버십 갱신 기간 (매년 5월 초~6월 말)중에 CFA Institute와 CFA 한국협회 통합 회원으로 갱신하실 수 있습니다.

Regular member will pay dues for both CFA Institute and CFA Society Korea via their CFA Institute account, as dues are billed through CFA Institute, CFA Institute Membership Renewal period runs typically from May to June every year.
