2024/25 CFA Institute Research Challenge 한국대회 결선 결과 안내

안녕하세요. 지난 2월 8일(토) 서울 잠실 롯데월드타워에서 열린 2024/25 CFA Institute 리서치챌린지 한국대회 결선이 성황리에 종료되었습니다. 이번 결선에는 경북대, 부산대, 숭실대, 이화여대, 한양대, 홍익대, 총 6개 팀이 진출하였으며, 결과는 다음과 같습니다.

우승: 경북대학교 CLOSERS팀 (멘토: 조성근 CFA)
준우승: 홍익대학교 VOERA팀 (멘토: 이기홍 CFA)
3등: 부산대학교 ALPHA팀 (멘토: 나리타 마사시 CFA)

CFA Institute 리서치챌린지는 전 세계 대학생 및 대학원생을 대상으로 하는 글로벌 투자 분석 발표대회입니다. 매년 8월 하순 킥오프를 시작으로 약 5~6개월간 진행되며, 분석 종목에 대한 보고서 평가 점수를 기반으로 결선 진출팀을 선정하고, 결선에서는 발표 평가 점수로 최종 순위가 결정됩니다. 모든 심사는 영어로 진행되며, 평가 과정에서 학교명과 팀명은 철저히 비공개로 유지됩니다.

이번 대회에서 우승한 경북대학교 CLOSERS팀은 오는 4월 아시아태평양(APAC) 지역 결선에서 26개 팀과 경쟁하며, 여기서 상위 2개 팀에 선정되면 미주(AMERICAS) 및 유럽·중동·아프리카(EMEA) 지역의 상위 2개 팀과 함께 5월 미국 시카고에서 열리는 글로벌 결선에 진출하게 됩니다.

Announcement of the 2024/25 CFA Institute Research Challenge Korea Finals Results

The 2024/25 CFA Institute Research Challenge Korea Finals, organized by CFA Society Korea and sponsored by Abrdn Korea and DB Insurance Finance Contest, successfully concluded on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Lotte World Tower in Seoul with approximately 120 attendees. Six teams advanced to the finals—Kyungpook National University, Pusan National University, Soongsil University, Ewha Womans University, Hanyang University, and Hongik University—with the following results:

Winner: Kyungpook National University (CLOSERS) (Mentor: Sungkeun Cho, CFA)
Runner-up: Hongik University (VOERA) (Mentor: Kihong Lee, CFA)
3rd Place: Pusan National University (ALPHA) (Mentor: Masashi Narita, CFA)

The CFA Institute Research Challenge is a global investment analysis and presentation competition for university students worldwide. The Korea competition kicks off annually in late August and spans five to six months, during which teams are selected for the finals based on their research report scores, and final rankings are determined through presentation scores. All evaluations are conducted in English, and school and team names remain strictly anonymous throughout the assessment process.

The winning team, Kyungpook National University CLOSERS, will compete against 26 teams in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) regional finals in April. If they place in the top two, they will advance to the Global Finals in Chicago, USA, in May, where they will compete against the top teams from the Americas (AMERICAS) and Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) regions.

Additionally, around 40 dedicated volunteers contributed their valuable time and effort to the 2024/25 CFA Institute Research Challenge. The list of organizing committee members and volunteers can be found below.
