CFA Institute는 미국 Charlottesville에 본사(1947년 설립)를 두고 있으며 투자 및 재무 분야 전문가들로 구성된 글로벌 비영리단체(Non-profit organization)입니다. 1947년 설립 이래로 F∙A∙J (Financial Analysts Journal) 등의 정기간행물을 발간하고 있으며, 투자 분야에서 윤리적 행동을 선도하고 글로벌 금융 분야에서 주목받는 지식과 정보들을 제공하고 있습니다
CFA Institute는 CFA® Program을 주관하며 Level I, II, III의 엄격한 시험에 합격하고 4000시간의 유관 경력(Professional Experience)을 쌓은 응시자들에게 CFA® charter (Chartered Financial Analyst®) 자격을 부여합니다. CFA 자격은 국제적으로 투자 및 재무 분야에서 최고의 전문자격으로 인정받고 있으며, 2020년 4월 기준 약 17만 명이 넘는 CFA 회원들이 글로벌 금융시장에서 투자 및 재무 전문 가로 활동하고 있습니다.
전 세계적으로 160여개 지역협회를 두고 있고 CFA Society Korea(CFA한국협회)는 CFA Institute의 한국지역 협회로 2000년 2월에 정식 인가되었으며, 2020년은 설립 20주년이 되는 해입니다. CFA한국협회는 투자자들의 권익 향상을 위해 건전하고 신뢰할 수 있는 투자의사결정 가이드를 제시하는 최고 수준의 직업윤리를 갖춘 금융 전문가로 구성된 단체로 우리나라의 금융 선진화에 기여하겠습니다.

CFA Society Korea aims to build the brand and influence of CFA charter in Korea, increase member and candidate numbers, strengthen engagement with members and stakeholders, and contribute to the growth of the investment management industry and the integrity of financial markets.
In line with CFA Institute Societies 2.0 strategy, CFA Society Korea will support the journey to professionalism, and be the bridge to build the foundational and strategic capabilities for members in Korea.
